Love Halloween? Would you like a professional critique of your work and the chance to be included in a published work that you can hold in your hands and smile about?

All participants will receive a courtesy review of their work, critiqued by a panel of judges with decades of combined media and publishing experience.

Accepted entries will have the following parameters:

For PG-13 and broader audiences
​

Halloween/autumn themed (spooky, scary, and cute stories all welcome)
​

Can be short story, anecdote, poem, art (will be reprinted in black-and-white)
​

Must be previously unpublished or creator holds right of republish
​

Must have known author, pseudonyms can be used for actual publication
​
All 20 finalists will:

Receive free edits/professional critiques
​

Be published and credited in the final book
​

Receive 5 free personal copies of Unsettling Vol. 3 with rights to purchase future copies at warehousing price ($4+s/h/t) and authorization to resell at retail price

Give Entsbough Publishing Services the nonexclusive rights of republishing in print, digital, audio and all known forms - [Okay, let’s break this down a bit: basically this means we’re okay with you republishing and promoting your work, submitting it to other publications, posting it in blogs and whatnot, but we don’t want to get a notice in five years that some fancy shmancy lit magazine actually owns your submission. Ain’t nobody got time for those legal fees. For the litigious-minded, consider this an indemnity clause.]
